The EnerGuide home evaluation and rating system was designed by Natural Resources Canada to help home and property owners make their homes more energy-efficient and reduce the burden of high energy costs. Green Venture provides EnerGuide home evaluations throughout our region under an agreement with Green Communities Canada.

Eligible Retrofits for the Home Efficiency Rebate Program

The federal government’s Canada Greener Homes Grant is an exciting step in the right direction to help Canada reduce our greenhouse gas emissions from buildings – a major contributor at 18% of Canada’s total emissions – and the home is a great place for Canadians to start. The initiative offers homeowners up to $5,000 to make energy efficient retrofits to their home. Additionally, the Grant covers up to $600 for EnerGuide evaluations and expert advice that guide the retrofit planning and implementation process.
